Meanwhile, Latinos community has always had a rich and fascinating history. One of the most fascinating proves of this has always been a baseball player Fernando Valenzuela.

Fernando Valenzuela is a Latino former Major League Baseball pitcher with a seventeen-year a successful career. He is the youngest of twelve children in his family; however, it did not prevent him from developing talents and achieving outstanding success. Fernando started his career as a professional player in the Mayos de Navojoa in 1977, then next year in the Mexican Central League and Liga Mexicana de Beisbol, where being an eighteen-year old boy, he elevated to the Triple A-level. However, the most critical was the moment when he was acquired by Los Angeles Dodgers for 120 000 dollars.

He was only twenty years old when his life changed radically. In 1981, Fernando was chosen as the Dodgers’ opening-day starter. Moreover, left-handed boy had moved to America in less than two years from his distant Mexican town of Etchohuaquila. Thus, his first life trial had begun. Fernando did not know how to get along with the life for Mexican Americans in the United States, and it was arduous to understand it. Therefore, he was concerned about his career.

There were no more Mexicans in the seats at Dodger Stadium. Therefore, it was a life-saving boat for ethnic tension in the city that helped Americans to evaluate the Mexican culture and nationality. By the time Valenzuela wore a Dodgers uniform, the attitude of people in Los Angeles to Latinos was alert.

His popularity increased at one moment attracting more and more members of the Los Angeles Latino community every time he played. Moreover, Fernando’s rookie baseball cards had a huge demand; this delusion has remained in the history as "Fernandomania" He was the first player who won the Rookie of the Year Award and the Cy Young Award in the selfsame season. What is interesting, fans gave Fernando the nickname “El Toro” for his blitz games whereas he has been one of the league’s best pitсhers.

To sum up, Fernando Valenzuela destroyed the barrier of race relations and helped Mexican Americans to believe in themselves and their capabilities. After all, his career has proven to the world that one has to consider other nationalities and relate to them with respect. Valenzuela’s path was difficult and thorny, but it was worth it. Success is an opportunity to everyone. One cannot sacrifice something that is important for another person. Active purposeful activity including restraint, positivity, determination, new information, and new people subsequently brings good results. Moreover, success comes with them. Therefore, "success" is a universal indicator for all. There are different criteria (personal and professional) for different people. The result largely depends on the personality of a person. It is fatefully impor5tant not to stand still and wait for the result from nowhere but make practical steps to reach a goal.
